INSTRUCTIONS

Cap'n Davy!
(down below)

1. After seeing my photo story about the Triton, Cap'n Durty Dick thought that others might be interested in making a figurehead for their pirate ships. Here, I have put together some pictures to try to show what I've done.

First, take the merman and wrap a twist-tie around his... fin... leg area... thingie... and through the holes in his fish netting cloak.

2. There is a nice random hole beneath the bowsprit of the current pirate ship. This is what you'll want to thread the long part of the twist-tie through. I have attempted to scan the front of the pirate ship so you can see what I'm talking about... the hole I am talking about is highlighted in green... just follow the arrow.

3. Now's the time for nimble fingers. You'll have to twist the long part of the twist tie that is coming through the hole with the shorter part that is not. (Is that is a terrible instruction?)

You'll have to twist the tie tight so that he won't tip forward. When you're done, the twist tie (depending on what color you've chosen) will be almost undetectible from one side of the ship... the other one will have a bit of a clod of twist-tie, but you can wrap that up and stuff it in the hole so it's not as noticable.

Not to be out done, Cap'n Davy has his own "tried and true" method for creating his Figureheads!
