Nathan and Oliver met in Houston, Texas to participate in the First International Garden Wargame. Since it is quite warm, and humid, in Texas during the latter part of June, it was decided that the First International "Garden" Wargame would be held indoors where it was air conditioned and cool.

Our story ...

Cap'n Playmoliver (the scourge of the Seven Seas - including the Irish Sea) was returning from the Caribbean after a very successful business trip of raping, pillaging and looting. Unfortunately, the canny Cap'n Playmoliver ran into Brittania's Royal Navy off the Irish coast before he and his crew could make it to their secret port on the Norse sea. Fearing capture and the hangman's noose, they quickly headed for cover in the thick Irish fog.

Cap'n Playmoliver found safe harbour for his ship and crew on the coast of County Cork. Hoping to find a welcome from the local population, Cap'n Playmoliver instead received a hostile reception from the County Militia. Mr. Podge, the Lord Mayor of Cork, personally led the County Militia into battle against Cap'n Playmoliver's scurvy lot!

Oliver and his Pirate band soundly defeated Nathan's Irish Militia in the first game. Nathan's stalwart soldiers got their revenge in game number two and sent the pirates packing. Nathan and Oliver decided not to have a third game, but to call it a draw and have a round of beers instead. Great fun was had by all!
